Richard Strome

1920-2010


Richard Strome was born February 11, 1920 in Albuquerque. Richard was a 1936 graduate of Albuquerque High School, attended UNM and graduated from the Chicago American Academy of Art in 1940. Dick served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He continued his studies after the war, and was employed in the advertising field. In 1949, the family moved back to Albuquerque where he worked as a technical artist for Sandia Corporation. Dick was an honored employee of Sandia National Laboratories for 30 years and retired in 1980. His talent for art was pursued both at work and at home.
